Chewing gum Chewing gum contains artificial sweeteners known as polyols which are known create irritable bowel-like symptoms in people. Gum also causes you to swallow air, and the excess air can bloat your stomach and make you feel puffy.
2- CARBONATED BEVERAGES
Put down your favourite fizzy drinks, Champagne or even sparkling mineral water as they can make your stomach bloat as the excess gas has somehow come out of the body.
Many people are lactose intolerant. So if you notice that you start feeling to bloat after consuming lots of dairy products then start to avoid going heavy on the milk and cheese before your appointment at the bridal boutique.
4- LENTILS AND BEANS
Lentils and beans contain sugars and fibres that are very tricky for your body to process and thus they can cause excess bloating.
5- ONION AND GARLIC
Onions and garlic are carbs that can cause bloating, stomach pain, diarrhoea or constipation. You should definitely avoid adding onions and garlic to your food.
6- PROCESSED FOOD
Ditch anything that comes in a can, box or a bag from your diet for at least two weeks to fight that annoying water weight.
Pizza is extra bad. Why? We all know that the answer is cheese!
8- KALE SALAD
Kale, cabbage and broccoli are hard to digest and they often cause bloating. Try to skip the kale salad just this once!
9- SODIUM RICH FOODS
Anything high in sodium causes your body to bloat. Too much salt causes your body to retain water, especially around your belly. Skip the food items that contain Sodium and you’re good to try your wedding dress.
Drinking too much will leave you bloated as alcohol can cause sulfur-bearing gases and weaken the digestive system.
To avoid any bloating at the eleventh hour, ditch the booze for good.
