I never really knew I had a creative side to me. I have worked in the Sales and Marketing industry for many years. 15 Years ago I met my husband who many will describe as a global nomad. We have moved every three years in the last 15 years. I became very involved with many volunteer programmes from one country to the next. Seven years ago whilst we were in Angola on the west coast of Africa I started making jewellery. I started with very straightforward projects and over the last seven years my workshop has grown from just a small little desk in the corner of our lounge to several workbenches, torches and many, many more tools. I believe that learning should be fun and that the best way to be creative and develop is to enjoy what you are doing. At KW Originals you will always be greeted with a smile, made to feel at home. Learning to make jewellery shouldn’t be exclusive or reserved for an elite few, but something that everyone can get involved in. Regardless of whether you are in it for fun and relaxation, to develop a hobby, set up and grow a jewellery business or develop a career in the field I welcome everyone equally. The classes on offer include silver metal clay, silversmithing, making glass beads, wirewrapping and chainmaille.
My inspiration comes from an array of things in life. I do enjoy making jewellery, using components that I have made myself.
I am a member of SRAJD. “A self-representing artist does not sell mass produced beads or jewellery. When you buy from an SRAJD, you are supporting the artist directly, not the middle man.”
Using my knowledge and skills I want to share my passion for creating individual pieces of jewellery via my workshops. Great for parties, gathering of friends or as a gift. Learn new skills with me in my bright and airy workshop.
